Errol Flynn stars in this black and white, highly fictionalized American western about Gen. George Armstrong Custer, which also starred Olivia de Havilland, Arthur Kennedy, Anthony Quinn, and Hattie McDaniel. It was the eighth and final collaboration between Flynn and de Havilland.
