Since You Went Away (1944)
Fidelia

Directed by John Cromwell for Selznick International Pictures and distributed by United Artists, this 1944 American drama starred Claudette Colbert, Joseph Cotton, Shirley Temple, Jennifer Jones, Robert Walker, and of course, Hattie McDaniel bringing her usual onscreen energy. The film was nominated for nine Academy Awards with the sole win going to Max Steiner for his Best Music, Scoring of a Dramatic or Comedy Picture.
Note: The farewell scene between Jones and Walker at the railway station was parodied in the film Airplane! (1980).
